OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY

Occupational therapy (OT) is provided in accordance with a physician’s written orders. OT services are provided by a qualified Occupational Therapist. Patients requiring Occupational Therapy include, but is not limited to:

 

  • Accident, i.e. fractured hip Amputation of an extremity or digits Arthritis Cerebral Vascular accident
  • Neuro-muscular diseases
  • Psychiatric illnesses

 

The Occupational Therapy Program May Include, but is not limited to:

  • Assistance with feeding programs Designing,
  • Fabricating and fitting of orthotic and self-help devices
  • Perception,
  • Strengthening and balance training
  • Restorative therapy for improving independence in activities for daily living
  • Teaching compensating techniques
